Music Diggin' Friday

Music Diggin’ Friday: May 18th

Since we already have Music Monday courtesy to Drew at The Tattooed Book Geek, I hereby declare, that Music Diggin’ Friday is a thing from now on.

After two weeks of laziness, this week I had to go back to work full time, boo 🙁 But now it’s friday night and once again, I bring you the new releases of the week!

Albums released

And Justice for None by Five Finger Death Punch

After weeks of dumping songs on the audience, the seventh studio album of the American band was released today. I haven’t listened to it yet, so can’t form an opinion. Btw, did you know that the founder of the band, Zoltán Báthory is Hungarian? Yep, we are indeed everywhere.

New singles/videos

Got Me Rockin’ by Them Evils

I’ve never heard about these guys until today when I scrolled through the week’s music news. At first listen they have a decent sound, so I’ll check out their other stuff too.

God Break Down the Door by Nine Inch Nails

I’m no fan of NIN, but some of you might be, so here is a good news for you: an EP is about to be released and this week we’ve got the first song from it titled God Break Down the Door.

A Crime to Remember by Pop Evil

This song was released on their last, self-titled album. To be honest I wasn’t all that impressed with that album. I don’t think they went for the right path, but I let you decide it for yourselves.

Stars by Silent Season

I’ve no idea how did this band ended up on my radar. I’m following them on Facebook so at one point I must have liked a song of theirs. Anyway, they released a new song, and it’s not bad, so I think I’ll keep an eye on them in the future too.

Start Again by OneRepublic feat Logic

OneRepublic and Logic teamed up and did a song for the soundtrack of 13 Reasons Why Season 2, which apparently came out this week. There is only about 2 songs I know from OneRepublic, altough they are constantly on my player: Secrets and Apologize. They are not enterily up my alley, but I like to give a chance every once in a while. This song is a pretty good one, so it’s probably about time to check them out again.

You and I by 3 Years Hollow

The American band currently works on their third studio album. A few years ago I fell in love with their song Chemical Ride which was a really god hit. Lately they were pretty quiet but seems like they are back on track. This song is not that promising though, at least I don’t really like it, but hey, you can’t judge an album from one song, can you?

Have a rockin’ friday and weekend ya’ll! 🙂
