Music Diggin' Friday

Music Diggin’ Friday: September 7th

Since we already have Music Monday courtesy to Drew at The Tattooed Book Geek, I hereby declare, that Music Diggin’ Friday is a thing from now on.

It was an… interesting week. I had a really good day, a really bad one and practically everything in between. I’m not sure I fully understand what’s going on in my life, but at this point I just let it go and roll with whatever comes. At least I can always count on some music to be released.

EPs released

Summer is a Curse by The Faim

I’ve been head over heels with these guys ever since I heard their song, Summer is a Curse. They released their first official EP which got the same title. It has 6 songs altogether and I’m really excited to see what else they have in store in the future.

Wind by Sister Hazel

Wind is a 7 songs long EP and a rather pleasant listen. I liked Whirlwhind Girl which got me back to this band, so this is going to be my pick.

New singles/videos

Dancing on Broken Glass by Poets of the Fall

The best thing that happened to me this week was the news that Poets of the Fall will come to Budapest next spring! It’s been about 10 years (or more) that I love them and waited for them to come this way. The finnish band will release their next studio album Ultraviolet on October 5th and they just premiered a new song, Dancing on Broken Glass.

Radio Killer by Modern Maps X Love&Run

I missed this song next week, so I thought I’ll include it today. Modern Maps is one of those bands I discovered while putting up these Friday posts. I’m not going to say this is the best song ever, but it’s nice for a Friday evening party or something.

Watching Over by Greta Van Fleet

Greta Van Fleet is a band made by young guys. Usually I’m not into this kind of music, or more like this style of singing, but they have something in them. An irresistable charm. They will release their first album soon which will be titled Anthem of the Peaceful Army.

Have a rockin’ friday and weekend y’all! 🙂
