Sneak Peek June

What’s to come? – June 2020

It’s hard to believe it’s already June, but on the other hand, it’s hard to believe it’s only June. 2020 sure is a year. If I had to describe my plans for this month: same old, same old. Work, blog, organise, read, repeat. To have some fun, I’ll try to put a bit more effort into my Instagram account. I have a couple of ideas how to show off my current reads and yes, all of them are going to involve at least one of my plush pandas. That’s my brand, deal with it. 😛

Aaaanyway, let’s see what I have in mind for June:

Book(s) I plan to read in June

I think I have a good reading month ahead of me with a mix of everything.

The book titles are linked to their Goodreads pages.

SPFBO

Audiobook(s) I plan to listen to in May

I honestly have no idea, nothing catches my attention, so I’m back rereading Harry Potter. Again. At this point I need to admit that I’m addicted to Stephen Fry’s voice. But I’m also getting a bit bored, so I’ll make sure to listen to something else as well.

Book(s) we plan to review in addition to the ones above

SPFBO

SPFBO6 officially started on June 1st! We don’t have much updates to share yet, and I think we’ll have a post out before July, but we already started to read our batch!

If you wish to be up to date, you can always check my SPFBO 6 Phase 1 page!

As per tradition, I’m going to have a feature dedicated to my group of SPFBO authors and open it for others as well dependig how the spots fill up. This is something I’m really excited about. It’s currently under the final tweeks, and soon I’ll get in touch with my authors and hopefully have one or two to post toward the end of the month!

Other bookish plans

We have quite a few reviews planned for June, but there is always some space for author spotlight and fun posts. I encourage you to reach out if you’d like to be featured with a guest post, cover reveal or you’d like to take part in any of my features (I have a vacation edition for Tales from the Asylum for instance)! I’m happy to collaborate with authors and help to promote your work!

To Be Continued…

To Be Continued… is back! I already posted 3 out of 5 parts of The Butcher Queen, so two more is to come. Then we’ll take a little break as the third story seems to be taking a bit longer to complete than I anticipated. I definitely plan to have one more story this year, but probably it’ll only happen sometime in the autumn. If you’d like to take part, give me a shout!

Writing plans

To absolutely no one’s suprise, of course I didn’t keep to the plan. In fact I fell even more behind. I was a bit occupied with other things… So, this month the plan is pretty much the same as it was last month: reach 5K for my WIP novella, The Lost God. *fingers crossed*

Other plans

Moving the blog

Sometime in June – depending on some circumstances out of my control – the blog will be moved from wordpress.com to be a self-hosted WP site. I’ve been working on the new site for a couple of months now and it slowly comes together. I’m mostly just reformatting my posts at this point so everything will look awesome with the new theme. I’m super excited to be finally show it off to you. That being said, while the move will be under process, you might experience some malfunctioning, but hopefully you won’t perceive anything out of order. The domain will remain the same, the whole thing just will be moved to another server. Which scares the hell out of me, and am grateful it’s not me who has to do the technical part of this operation, because I totally would fuck something up… Fingers crossed everything will go smoothly.

A New Contributor

I’ve been thinking for a while that I should take on another contributor for the Asylum. I still haven’t fully made up my mind, but I have a couple of options, so I’ll do some more thinking before I make my final decision.

Well, I think that’s it. Follow me if you like either on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram (I don’t have much content on that platform yet)!
