Music Monday

Music Monday: Adults by Social Animals

Music Monday is a meme that was created by Drew from The Tattooed Book Geek. Bjørn and I will pick a song alternatively on each Monday and share our thoughts about them. Timy’s pick this week is Adults by Social Animals.

Thoughts and Ramblings

I had a bit too much adulting recently, so the last thing I want to be is an adult right now. Especially since I only slept 5 hours, got to work an hour early because there was no point in going back to sleep, and now I regret all of my life choices. However, I came across Adults a couple of weeks ago on my way home from somewhere. Anyway, it got my attention and I’m intending to give Social Animals a good look to see what else they have in store. I like their sound, and this song is catchy as hell.

Song Lyrics

Maybe you should talk to somebody
I said what am I doing right now?
You said you know what I mean, you’re not stupid
But I can see
That’s what you’re trying to be again tonight
I know all of your stories, ’cause I’m in every single one

Like when we were driving home sipping vodka from a water bottle
One foot in the grave and the other on the throttle
We were barely seventeen, they could have tried us as adults
So could we try to be adults right now?

Maybe you should talk to somebody
Somebody begging you not to die, isn’t the same as telling you how to live
But I can see you’re not gonna listen to me
Even if I’m loud I know all of your nuance
I see you every single day, I want to keep it that way

Like when we were driving home sipping vodka from a water bottle
One foot in the grave and the other on the throttle
We were barely seventeen, they could have tried us as adults
So could we try to be adults right now?
Like when we were driving home sipping vodka from a water bottle
One foot in the grave and the other on the throttle
We were barely seventeen, they could have tried us as adults
So could we try to be adults right now?
Could we try to be adults right now?
