Like last year, the Asylum ladies are sharing their top 10 reads of 2021 in a sequence of 3 posts. Today Arina closes the curtain on this spotlight. You’ll notice some of these books weren’t actual 2021 releases, as the only rule we had for our top reads was that we had to have read them in 2021, regardless of their release date. Because it’s never too late to discover a favorite or a genre-behemoth you are just now learning to love.
Like last year, we once again decided to post 3 separate top 10 reads of 2021 lists instead of one mega-list or one with only a couple of picks each. Which, let’s face it, would be downright cruelty to ourselves. Our only rule was that any book on these lists has to be read during 2021, regardless of when they were published and by whom. And we had to love them, obviously. Maybe. I mean, when you keep shouting at the author in private for things they did, it’s surely a sign of love, right? Even if you call said author names… *ahem* Anyway next up is Jen with her Top 10 Reads of 2021!

October kicked in the door and I thought it’s high time for me to gather some books set in an asylum. And so here comes 10 of them covering a wide spectrum of genres, both self-published and trad published. I think everyone will find one to interest them.
