    3 Years in SPFBO

SPFBO 7 started off on June 1st and as many of you know, the Asylum is not a judging blog anymore. But not all of us stepped back from the competition. In this post I'd like to talk about why I made the decision of stepping back, how SPFBO affected my (blogging) life, and highlight all the gems I got to find thanks to the competition. It will be a long post, so buckle up. I'll try to keep the rambling to a minimum, but no promises...

    Tales from the Asylum

Tales from the Asylum is a new feature I came up with for SPFBO. I wanted to create a unique opportunity for the authors to show off their story telling skills by taking their characters and putting them in an asylum room to see how they would deal with the situation. A lot can happen in a closed space...

  • 2 Years in the Asylum

    March 17, 2020 /

The good thing about anniversaries is that they roll around every year. And thus, here we are, celebrating the 2nd birthday of my baby blog. Or is it toddler now? The second year wasn't less eventful than the first one, even though 2019 was one of my worst years personally. As last year, I'd like to take a look back at this past year and highlight some milestones and memories including a lot of pictures.

    Monthly Wrap Up February

Is it just me or February really just lasted for a blink? I was so occupied with stuff, that halfway through the month I completely forgot that it was my birthday month and didn't have as much fun as I would have liked. That's not saying I didn't have any fun ar that I didn't have a great birthday month, because I did. But I was just too focused on the coming blog anniversary and other things I'm working on behind the scenes. Oops.

    Sneak Peek February

You know what month this is? February. And do you know what that means? My birthday is around the corner! I love this month - duh - despite the shit winter weather I hate. But lets see what else I have in store, shall we?

    Monthly Wrap Up January

January seemed to be endless to some of you, but personally I had more good days than bad (according to my handy mood tracker). I definitely had some ups and downs but I also focused my attention on some new things I'm excited about.

The Queen has captured you sneaking around in her home, but she is in a merciful mood. She has allowed you to go free on the condition that you brave the ancient ruins and find her missing cloak clasp. It is in the shape of her most beloved animal. She no longer likes to go there, because she is convinced that there are magical goings-on in the ruins that are not of this world.
