I keep having a pattern with Papa Roach where I love one of their albums, then the next makes me meh, then I love it again, and so on. Ego Trip is their latest, and it seemed to be the exception as I wasn’t into the previous one, and at first, I wasn’t into this one either. Then recently I kept seeing them talking about Leave A Light On (Talk Away The Dark) on their social media a lot, and it was an instant hit with me. So I went and relistened the album, and I admit it grew on me, so thankfully we are on the right path after all.

Papa Roach tends to have songs with heavy lyrics, and while this one doesn’t seem like that at first, it has a lot of deeper meaning. It’s about being there for those who are going through dark times, about love, kindness, and caring. To be the light for someone else. The little things always go a long way, so make sure you check up on your friends every once in a while.
