September came and went, and we are one month closer to the end of the year. September started off on a really bad note for me, but thankfully things got considerably better in a few days and overall the month was a blast. Aside from personal stuff, I’ve read quite a few books, hosted a giveaway in celebration of my 6 monthsversary as a blogger and tried to avoid thinking about October. Yay!
Music Monday: Somewhere I Belong by Linkin Park
I’ve been listening to LP on Friday, then they came up in a conversation over the weekend and I woke up this morning listening to some more LP. I guess it’s just that kind of day. Somewhere I Belong always resonated with me, even when I had no idea what the lyrics meant. I always wanted to belong somewhere.

Darkness Forged by Matt Larkin
In Darkness Forged you might find everything you’ve been looking for: heroic fights, vengeance, violence (in many form), enveloped in norse mythology. This book has an oddly satisfying ending on the bittersweet side. If you are into grimdark, norse mythology, have a few hours to spare and don’t mind having a dark twist in your read, I definitely recommend this book!

Music Monday: Fuckin’ Perfect by P!nk
P!nk is one of those few female singers I actually like. I always adored her for being different, and a rebel who weren’t afraid to be herself be it about clothes or music or anything else. I don’t like all of her songs, and I think she tends to be more pop than rock lately, but whatever. There are still songs of her I love the hell out of. Fucking Perfect is one of those songs.
SPFBO Interview with L.L. McNeil
This year I’m taking part in SPFBO as an advisor for Fantasy Book Review’s judging team. I decided to offer a spot to the authors in our group. The spotlight today shines on Justin Lee Anderson.
Symphony of the Wind by Steven McKinnon
Symphony of the Wind is intricate, surprising, and doesn’t shy away from giving punches. If you like your fantasy dark, don’t mind if the pace is a bit slower, want to be surprised and don’t see what happens next, you should absolutely check this out!

Music Monday: I Like It Heavy by Halestorm
I think Into the Wild Life is still my favorite Halestrom album. I’m kind of disappointed about Vicious. Anyway, I probably could pick a few other songs, but I chose I Like it Heavy, becuase I woke up with a line stuck in my head “We’ll get matching tattoos” and had no idea which song it was from. I did some reasearch (I totally was thinking it was from another band, oops), and this song came up. So here we go. Besides, I really like this song.
