    3 Years in SPFBO

SPFBO 7 started off on June 1st and as many of you know, the Asylum is not a judging blog anymore. But not all of us stepped back from the competition. In this post I'd like to talk about why I made the decision of stepping back, how SPFBO affected my (blogging) life, and highlight all the gems I got to find thanks to the competition. It will be a long post, so buckle up. I'll try to keep the rambling to a minimum, but no promises...

    Monthly Wrap Up March

March definitely wasn't good for my mental health. I had more downs than ups, and the fact that my wages got dropped for the time being didn't improve things, that's for sure. It was also my blog anniversary month and it honestly didn't go as well as I hoped which by the end of the month left me totally unmotivated toward blogging.

    Monthly Wrap Up

October was mostly about catching up, and cram in as many things as possible before I headed to the UK toward the end of the month. I had a great time both in London and Bristol - article coming soon, I promise, unlike the WorldCon one... - and it charged me with energy and good feels. It was awesome to meet old friends and make new ones and I already can't wait for the next BristolCon. But until I get myself together, take a look at what we were up to this past month. We are getting near the end of phase 1 in SPFBO and we are done with…

    Monthly Wrap Up

Summer is finally over and we are about to have a temperature drop and I'm sooooo ready for not boiling finally. August went away in a blink of an eye and I'm both sad and happy about it. I had some great times, but I also got damned behind on EVERYTHING. September will be about trying to catch up to myself.

    Tales from the Asylum

Tales from the Asylum is a new feature I came up with for SPFBO. I wanted to create a unique opportunity for the authors to show off their story telling skills by taking their characters and putting them in an asylum room to see how they would deal with the situation. A lot can happen in a closed space...

The Queen has captured you sneaking around in her home, but she is in a merciful mood. She has allowed you to go free on the condition that you brave the ancient ruins and find her missing cloak clasp. It is in the shape of her most beloved animal. She no longer likes to go there, because she is convinced that there are magical goings-on in the ruins that are not of this world.
