Music Diggin' Friday

Music Diggin’ Friday: July 13th

Since we already have Music Monday courtesy to Drew at The Tattooed Book Geek, I hereby declare, that Music Diggin’ Friday is a thing from now on.

Those who follow my weekly music news might spotted that I haven’t posted anything last week. I apologize, but I was just too damn tired and there weren’t anything worth mentioning anyway. Fear not my friends, this week I’m back with some goodies for your ears.

Albums released

Legacy by The Protest

This week’s “Who The Hell Are They?” winner. They sound like a band I would be interested in, so definitely will check them out later. After I slept about a week. Yep. Apparently this is the US based band’s third album, and What Else You Got is the latest single from it.

New singles/videos

Infra-Red by Three Days Grace

Three Days Grace is one of those bands which made me fall in love with rock and roll back in high school. I still love and listen to their early albums. Then a few years back Adam Gontier left the band and had his own called Saint Asonia. TDG replaced him with Matt Walst, little brother of the drummer, singer of My Darkest Days. I like Matt’s voice, but TDG is just not the same with him, and their music just lost its edge. Transit of Venus already showed signs of the changes I didn’t like, and things didn’t improve. The band’s 6th studio album Outsider was released this March. A lyric video for their new single Infra-Red came out earlier this week.

PCH by Theory of a Deadman

See, I just had to say it’s a perfect summer song, and they heard me! Theory of a Deadman just released a new video for PCH, one of my favorite songs from their 6th studio album, Wake Up Call. Read more about my thoughts regarding PCH in this Music Monday post of mine.

The Grey by Thrice

Thrice just announced a few days ago, that they are going to release their new album, Palms this September! Yes! I’m freaking excited about this one. Until then, they released a new video for their new single, The Grey, which premiered earlier. I’m in love with this band since I’ve heard Black Honey last year – and I also happen to have a Music Monday post about that one too.

Have a rockin’ friday and weekend ya’ll! 🙂
