Music Monday: Wolf Totem by The HU feat. Jacoby Shaddix

Music Monday is a meme that was created by Drew from The Tattooed Book Geek. Bjørn and I will pick a song alternatively on each Monday and share our thoughts about them. Timy’s pick this week is Wolf Totem by The HU feat. Jacoby Shaddix.

I was messing around with my MP3 player over the weekend, and my eye caught my fold for The HU, and suddenly, I had this absolute craving to listen to their music, as it’s been a while. I’m not quite sure when I first came across this band, probably around 2020/2021, very possibly thanks to the fact they rerecorded some of their songs from their 2019 debut album, The Gereg, with musicians like Jacoby Shaddix, Lzzy Hale, and From Ashes to New. I’m not usually into metal, but there is something about the Mongolian elements of The HU‘s music that speaks to my soul.

As for Wolf Totem, I love both versions, but Jacoby brings into it a boost of energy. I mean, I saw Papa Roach live and the man is unbeliveable.
