Music Monday: Zebra by Bankrupt

Music Monday is a meme that was created by Drew from The Tattooed Book Geek. Bjørn and I will pick a song alternatively on each Monday and share our thoughts about them. Timy’s pick this week is Zebra by Bankrupt.

Bankrupt is a Hungarian punk rock band, who has pretty government critical lyrics. Zebra is one of their latest, it came out this spring, reflecting on current politics and events going on in the media – such as Viktor Orbán wanting to adopt a zebra because fuck knows why. There were so many articles about it back in the day although I have no idea how it started. Honestly don’t even care. It should tell you something tho, that news sites had an absolute field day with the whole thing on both sides of the spectrum.

Anyway. Bankrupt has both a Hungarian and English version (with slightly different lyrics) so I included both. Personally I think the Hungarian is better.
