After a well deserved break – Adrian, chief editor of Grimdark Magazine (GDM) got married, congrats once again! – the Nineteenth issue was released with a strong line of contributors. You can read a short stories from Joe Abercrombie, Trudi Canavan, Alan Baxter, Michael R. July is about to end, and following in my fellow judges’ footsteps, I’ll give you my first update on the progress I made this month. Please note, that this is only my opinion and my ratings, and these books still can end up as semi-finalists if one of my fellow judges deem them worthy. Once we have a couple of books all of us thinks won’t make it, I’ll write up announcement posts.

The Questioning is where everything gets upside down. Every month I invite one author and one blogger, who showed me great support during my blogging life. Then I push them waaaaay out of their comfort zones. Authors has become interrogators and Bloggers get interrogated. Rest assured, no one gets hurt (much) and everyone has fun (eventually). I’m really happy to let you know that Steven McKinnon was kind enough to ask me to take part in his cover reveal. My first response was: hell yeah! I’ve been following his career ever since I’ve read Symphony of the Wind as part of SPFBO. It was, in fact Fantasy Book Review’s finalist and we all loved it.
The sequel, Wrath of Storms will be released on August 8th!
