Let’s Be Wyrd and Wonder in 2022!
Wyrd and Wonder is a month-long celebration of all things Fantasy, organized by a couple of amazing ladies. It’s their fifth year and they have big plans. For the third year, Queen’s Book Asylum also attempts to take part – I mostly failed miserably in the past couple of years, so let’s hope I’ll do better in 2022.
What’s to come? – May 2020
May is here! And you know what does that mean? It’s Wyrd & Wonder month! We celebrate fantasy throughout May. It’s not too late to join in all the fun. You can find the introduction here. Be sure to check it out becuase these ladies planned a LOT of awesome stuff.
As usual, I have all kinds of things planned for this month as well, though not all of them fantasy related. But I’ll try my best. Who knows? I might even do some fun posts using their Wyrd & Wonder challenge prompts! Alright, let’s see what I have in mind.
What do we plan for 2020?
Oh hey, we are putting this post out in a more timely fashion than last year! Do we deserve an applaud, or what?
Last year we more or less failed at our plans, but we also had a lot of things come up we absolutely didn’t anticipate. Such as getting to be a judging blog for SPFBO, me starting a part-time freelance business, going to Dublin for WorldCon among other things. But our enthusiasm is still strong, and we are here again to set up some reachable goals so we could watch how much we actually achive (or not) in this year ahead.
Monthly Wrap Up: May 2019
May was an interesting whirlwind of a month. We had my cousin’s wedding, I made some life changing desicions, my blog got picked to be one of the judges for SPFBO5 and I got my hands on a lot of awesome ARCs and books. And I finally got caught up with everything!
10 Books Featuring Kids in Adult Fiction
As I’m reading Priest of Lies by Peter McLean currently, and one of my favorite characters happen to be Billy the Boy, a 14 year old lad, I started to think about books where children were not only side characters but had an important role. As I’m mostly reading adult fiction I went and looked at those books to pick 10 – which, let me tell you is a challenge.
