As you can see, Music Monday is back! I could have sworn I only had like a year or so off, but apparently, the last time I posted Music Monday was back in 2020 July. Yikes. Talk about time running. So it’s high time we bring back a little music to the Asylum. I probably would have taken my sweet time to get back into it, if it weren’t for Bjørn, so here we are. Kicking off the new year with an old feature! He probably will have much more interesting thoughts than me, but you’ll have to deal with it, lol.

So my first pick is Through Glass by Hands Like Houses feat. Samsaruh. The reason is pretty simple: this is my song of the year. So it’s fitting to start with this one. Every January 1st I pick up my player or in this case Spotify Liked Songs playlist, and let it pick a random song which then will be my song of the year. I honestly had no idea this song was even on that playlist, and I probably put it there a couple of years back when I started using Spotify, because it’s pretty down on the list. But you know what? I really do like this song, and I’m glad I’m actually aware of its existence. And I’m choosing it to be a good sign, because it has such a positive vibe. I need 2024 to be a good year. I even put it on this year’s The Sound of Madness Reading Challenge card!
