Timy's Top 10 Reads of 2020

Timy’s Top 10 Reads of 2020

After some debate, we decided that instead of doing one short (top 3 reads each which would have been downright cruelty to ourselves), or one very long (top 10 reads each, squeezed together) post on our favorite reads in 2020, we’ll do three separate ones. Mainly because we’d like to highlight as many books as we can, regardless of when they were released, if they are indie, self-published, or traditionally published. The only criteria were that we had to read it in 2020. And maybe like it too. A tiny bit. Maybe. Next up is Timy’s Top 10 Reads of 2020.

Party with the Stars

Party with the Stars: Shaun Paul Stevens

Have you ever wondered what might happen if you could throw a party of your choice and not only could you invite your MC(s) but other literary figures as well? In this feature I ask you to imagine exactly that scenario and some more. Meet Shaun Paul Stevens and his guests and let’s get the party started! You can also read an excerpt from his book!

The Killer Across the Table

The Killer Across the Table by John E. Douglas and Mark Olshaker

I’ve been interested in True Crime stories for years now. When I want to watch TV but there is nothing on, I always end up with Investigation Discovery as a default. I’ve been watching almost all of the CSI episodes (although I’m aware that investigations don’t quite work like that) and for a while, I was addicted to Criminal Minds. I’ve been wanting to read some True Crime books, but I never really got around to it and I had no idea where to start it. I came across The Killer Across the Table due to luck, little did I know that there is no better person than John E. Douglas to introduce me to the genre.

We Lie With Death by Devin Madson

We Lie With Death by Devin Madson

We Lie With Death is cleverly written, intricate and addictive, merging genres like it’s the most natural thing in the world while handling topics with a sensitivity that shows Madson’s genius. If you didn’t read We Ride the Storm yet, start it now because you don’t want to miss out on We Lie With Death!

Sneak Peek January

What’s to come? – January 2021

After taking some time off (haha, as if, let’s not think about how many hours I spent with Photoshop among other things, shall we), we are back in full force. There will be quite a few reviews coming in January and we start getting SPFBO reviews out as well. And I’m planning to resurrect an old feature too. As well as launching my own reading challenge for 2021, but more about that tomorrow.
