After some debate, we decided that instead of doing one short (top 3 reads each which would have been downright cruelty to ourselves), or one very long (top 10 reads each, squeezed together) post on our favorite reads in 2020, we’ll do three separate ones. Mainly because we’d like to highlight as many books as we can, regardless of when they were released, if they are indie, self-published, or traditionally published. I’ve been interested in True Crime stories for years now. When I want to watch TV but there is nothing on, I always end up with Investigation Discovery as a default. I’ve been watching almost all of the CSI episodes (although I’m aware that investigations don’t quite work like that) and for a while, I was addicted to Criminal Minds. I’ve been wanting to read some True Crime books, but I never really got around to it and I had no idea where to start it. I came across The Killer Across the Table due to luck, little did I know that there is no better person than John E. Douglas to introduce me to the genre.

There will be quite a few reviews coming in January and we start getting SPFBO reviews out as well. And I’m planning to resurrect an old feature too. As well as launching my own reading challenge for 2021, but more about that tomorrow.

Can you believe it’s already December? This year went by so fast, even if sometimes it seemed like time was dragging. It’s traditionally time to look back at the year, but I’ll keep most of that for the annual anniversary post in March. Here I’m only going to say that I basically met non of my goals set for myself. But then, 2020 brought on challenges none of us saw coming. We’ve been taking things easy in December to give us some breathing room, so we only had a couple of reviews and tour encore posts.
