Hero Forged is a fast paced, unique, entertaining urban fantasy. It has everything from a villain with blood lust, to an information dealer giant locust, some monsters from your nightmares, gods, a succubus, and a snarky main character being thrown in the middle of it all. If you are bored with the usual UF tropes, you might find this book quite refreshing. A warning: there might be quite a few dead bodies scattered along Gabe’s path.
Music Monday: Summer of 69 by Bryan Adams
To go with my vacation mood I picked a song to kick it off. Summer of 69 is an old favorite of mine. It’s kind of a bittersweet song, about a lost summer, full of life changing memories, love, hope for the future. I guess we all have that kind of memories 🙂

Music Monday: Shatter Me by Lindsey Stirling feat Lzzy Hale

What’s to come? – August sneak peek
I’m so excited! August will be fun. SPFBO had started yesterday and I decided to shake up my schedule a bit so I could fit some of my picks of the FBR lot in as soon as I can, so I’ll have time to read our semi-finalists toward the end of the year. Maybe it’s not a surprise by now, but I’m taking part in the competition as advisor for Fantasy Book Review. Soon I’ll have my own SPFBO page up here on the blog and have some other plans in the making too regarding our 30 books 🙂
