Interview

SPFBO Interview with J. Zachary Pike

One of the goals of SPFBO is to give a chance to self-published authors to get more exposure. In the Finals I’m taking part in the competition as one of the judges in Fantasy Book Review’s team. As I did with our group’s authors, I decided to offer a spot to the Finalists too to be featured on my blog.

Fate Lashed by Josh Erikson

Fate Lashed by Josh Erikson

Upon reading Fate Lashed I can say that whether Josh Erikson is a talented writer is not a question anymore (if it ever was). Hero Forged was a strong debut and he was able to raise the bar with the second book. Fate Lashed has everything we loved before and then some more: action, intrigue, sarcasm, blood and death. Sprinkled with tiny bit of Star Wars, Lord of the Rings and other references for good measure. The Ethereal Earth series is something every urban fantasy lover should read.

Introducing Budapest: National Theatre and Palace of Arts

I always promise myself that once the nice weather sets in I’ll go out more in the weekends to have fresh air and pretend that I socialize when in truth I never take my earphones off or look at people if I don’t have to. But in the end I’m always too lazy to get out of bed, dress up, wash my hair, etc. So, to motivate myself I decided to make it about blogging – if I feel like I have to write I might be able to lift my ass. And honestly, more people should know about this city! And my culture. I invite you to join me while I discover Budapest!

Sneak Peek

What’s to come? – April 2019

So, this is a slow week, and I was supposed to write a review, but I just can’t be arsed to do it right now, so decided I’ll bring back the Sneak Peek instead. It’s been a while I had these monthly posts, but life was quite hectic and in the end I usually ended up with totally different reading schedules, lol. Well, I’m not going to pretend that I’ll stick to this list, though I most probably will this time around.

Monthly Wrap Up

Monthly Wrap Up: March 2019

Well, March had been a busy month both for blogging and the fantasy community. The first anniversary of RockStarlit BookAsylum came and went, presenting me with the all time highest stats for March. I’d like to thank everyone who take part in the celebration even if just with checking my posts out, or sharing and liking. I couldn’t have done it without you!

The Questioning Author Edition

The Questioning: Michael Baker

The Questioning is where everything gets upside down. As part of my blogiversary celebration, I invited 10 authors and 10 bloggers/reviewers who showed great support during my first year as a blogger. Then I pushed them waaaaay out of the comfort zones. Authors had become interrogators and Bloggers got interrogated. Rest assured, no one got hurt (much) and everyone had fun (eventually). You can find every related post on The Questioning page!
