I decided to pick Like I Roll, because this is one of my favs and because this one got me out of bed this morning. I even sang along. Thankfully no one heard. This song is about freedom, about doing whatever the hell you want and not letting others to put you down.
Things song came up a lot in recent conversations with a friend. Our music taste is quite different although we ended up finding some bands/songs we both like. Yay! I’m sure we’ll have more in common once I can make him listen to all of my favorites, hah. Nevertheless, this is the first song we both know and love from before, so it’s kind of special 🙂
Their new album, Red Hands Black Deeds didn’t catch me at first, but I’ve been listening to it at least a dozen times since then. And while I could choose a song from that one (okay, not really, they are all awesome), I decided to share In Chains, my first big love from Shaman’s Harvest.
This is not your typical summer song though, but it’s definitely catchy. For me it’s about chances, about never giving up, about trying even though it might be fruitless. You can just never know what’s going to happen in a day, or a week, or a month. Your life might change out of the blue and you’ll be happy you held on.
But why I choose PCH is because it reminds me of California, of the nights when I stay awake just because I can, the nights I spent chatting with important people in my life. Taking a walk in the night watching the lights of the city. I always loved being awake at night, and wished I lived by water so I could just sit on a balcony watching the water and the stars, listening to music, writing, reading by a faint light, having a nice chat. Makes me wish to go on a vacation right now. Who’s with me?
Today’s Chosen One is Go To War by Nothing More because I’m going to see them tonight for the first time! Along with Stone Sour (second time). Yay!
This is my big day! Shinedown concert and interview, yay! Which didn’t make choosing only one song any easier. I went with Black Soul from the new album, but I’d choose the whole The Sound of Madness album if I could!
Let’s throw some @Eminem into the mix. I have a 15 years history with the guy and now you can learn how it started 🙂
It was a tight call between Fur Cue by Seether and Stuck by @adelitasway. I went for this because that’s exactly how I feel right now. I even dreamed being stuck, and when the word came to me, the song did as well.
