Monthly Wrap Up May

Monthly Wrap Up: May 2021

n May, as you probably noticed, we took things a bit easy as we all had our personal lives intruding and quite frankly, we all deserve a break every once in a while. Also, burnout is a real fucking thing. Just saying. But we still didn’t leave you all alone, we toured books, we reviewed some, revealed covers and some of us are preparing for the next round of SPFBO. But I’ll talk more about that in later posts. For now, let’s see what we had on offer in May!

Monthly Wrap Up January

Monthly Wrap Up: January 2021

Well, you guys can’t say I don’t know how to kick a year off. In the first days of January, I dropped the news of changing the blog’s name to Queen’s Book Asylum. Then went on and launched my own music-themed reading challenge, The Sound of Madness (still not too late to join). It both feels like it’s been a long time ago and yesterday. Weird. Anyway, thankfully we had a lot of other content up on the blog your reading pleasures.

Storytellers On Tour: Fly Free by Allison Rose – Encore

This past week we gave the spotlight to Fly Free, the first book in Allison Rose’s Fantasy series, The Light of Faerie! Our Roadies brought a wide selection of content to this show with reviews, interviews, and other posts. Now it’s time to bring the show to an end and it’s my pleasure to present you with the encore, including some extra content. Come and learn a bit more about the world of Fly Free through our Q&A with Allison. And don’t forget to enter the giveaway to win a paperback copy of Fly Free!

Sneak Peek January

What’s to come? – January 2021

After taking some time off (haha, as if, let’s not think about how many hours I spent with Photoshop among other things, shall we), we are back in full force. There will be quite a few reviews coming in January and we start getting SPFBO reviews out as well. And I’m planning to resurrect an old feature too. As well as launching my own reading challenge for 2021, but more about that tomorrow.

Sneak Peek December

What’s to come? – December 2020

I honestly don’t have much plans for December. I think I’ll just try to relax and take everything easy. We’ll be taking a break from blogging so apart from encore posts and a handful of reviews, we won’t have much to offer. I guess all those packed months finally caught up with me and I need to take a step back. Plus, the holidays are coming and I intend to enjoy it rather than worry about posts.
