Monthly Wrap Up: May 2021
n May, as you probably noticed, we took things a bit easy as we all had our personal lives intruding and quite frankly, we all deserve a break every once in a while. Also, burnout is a real fucking thing. Just saying. But we still didn’t leave you all alone, we toured books, we reviewed some, revealed covers and some of us are preparing for the next round of SPFBO. But I’ll talk more about that in later posts. For now, let’s see what we had on offer in May!
Eye of Obscurance by Jeffrey L. Kohanek
Today, as part of Eye of Obscurance‘s Book Blitz, organized by Storytellers On Tour, we are reposting Jen’s review of Jeffrey L. Kohanek‘s Epic Fantasy novel, the first in the Fate of Wizardoms series. Be sure to check out the giveaway at the bottom of this review.
Monthly Wrap Up: August 2020
August went away pretty quickly. I had a 2 weeks long vacation, 1 of which I spent in the countryside which was a nice break. I also read 3 books that week which is not something that happens to me a lot these days. But since we came home my sleeping went to shit and I’m still trying to catch up to myself and not feel like a train went through me… Anyway, vacation did not mean I was being lazy.
Temple of the Oracle by Jeffrey L. Kohanek
Quick paced and actiony fun! I find these are nice bite-size breather books to read in between those heavier and darker themed chonkers that have filled up my kindle.
What’s to come? – August 2020
I have quite a few stuff coming this month – we’ll continue The Enchanted Forest, we’ll Party with the Stars, read books, tour with books, get ready for Self-Published Fantasy Month in September, reveal covers, give SPFBO updates and I’ll even have a two weeks vacation – one of which will be a real vacation with a trip and everything.
Monthly Wrap Up: January 2020
January seemed to be endless to some of you, but personally I had more good days than bad (according to my handy mood tracker). I definitely had some ups and downs but I also focused my attention on some new things I’m excited about.
Balance of Magic by Jeffrey L. Kohanek
I can always count on Jeffrey Kohanek’s books for fast paced entertainment and this didn’t disappoint. With lots of twisty behind the scenes plots as the balance of power shifts from one wizard to another, there are quite a few surprises along the way including the appearance of a magic-based dragon! Always good fun.
Monthly Wrap Up: September 2019
Summer is finally over and we are about to have a temperature drop and I’m sooooo ready for not boiling finally.
August went away in a blink of an eye and I’m both sad and happy about it. I had some great times, but I also got damned behind on EVERYTHING. September will be about trying to catch up to myself.
Monthly Wrap Up: April 2019
Whoa, April went by fast, I guess all of that stressing made time fly by or something, lol. It wasn’t a boring month that’s for sure, and I had a lot of supposed-to-be-relaxing time too. On the other hand I’ve got an awesome signed copy of Priest of Bones so I really can’t complain.
